It was such a beautiful sight as we sailed into the port in Nagasaki, Japan.  I was near tears as the crew members stood out on the deck displaying their country’s flag and waving at the people welcoming the ship into the port.  Although I didn’t have a country’s flag to hold, I felt prompted by the Lord to raise the banner that I painted specifically for Japan and to declare it over them.  As I painted the silk, the Lord revealed several things:  1. His blood speaks a better word over Japan.  2. He is coming to encompass Japan with His glory.   3. He is turning the hearts of the people from their sin to repentance and that they will join with all of heaven and declare “Holy Holy Holy is the Lord.”  It was with excitement that I held up the banner saying “Yes and Amen” to all that was in God’s heart for Japan, and expecting God to move in mighty ways during our time there.   It was the very next night that the Lord opened the door for me to be invited to a sold-out event with 300+ Japanese people and to witness God touching them in a powerful way!  They were worshiping, singing and praising God for who He was, and joy was on their faces.

For the next two days, I was asking God to show me the person from Japan that I was supposed to give the silk to.  I had actually been asking that question the whole time I was on the ship, but it was getting down to the final hours and I still hadn’t met her.  And then, there she was…..sitting by herself in the dining room and I felt the nudge, “Ask her if she’s from Japan.”  So, I did, and as I began to share with her about the silk and its meaning, tears started filling this precious woman’s eyes.  She was actually not a crew member on the ship, but a visiting volunteer staying on the ship for a few days to help communicate with the locals in their own language.  She wept and wept as she told me that she didn’t know why she felt she was to sit at that table by herself or why when she prayed she could only say, “Holy Holy Holy” over and over, but now she knew.  Then, she told me how she’s actually going to the All Nations Prayer Room in Jerusalem in a few months….wow!  This woman was an intercessor with a deep heart for prayer and God hand-picked her to carry this banner of intercession for her nation.  She was overwhelmed with joy, and after getting a few pictures of us together, she began dancing, skipping, and spinning down the hallway with the banner in her hand.  It was a glorious sight!!

The next morning, she was still beaming with joy and told me that she had breakthrough” and had danced outside on deck 9 with freedom and boldness with the silk….something she had never done before.  The “shy Tomoko” was gone, and the new “bold Tomoko” had come forth declaring God’s goodness and glory!

Our natural minds can’t conceive the things of God and how He works, but we can be confident that He sees and hears our prayers as His word declares in 2 Cor. 10:3,4 “For though we walk (live) in the flesh, we are not carrying on our warfare according to the flesh and using mere human weapons. For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds.”

Our prayers and praise of intercession through the creative arts are a mighty weapon in the Spirit, so SING, DANCE, PAINT, PRAISE, PLAY, REJOICE….for God is releasing freedom and joy unto you, your city, your nation, and to the world!

Hope and Healing

I was so encouraged a few weeks ago when a woman came to my silk painting class and received major breakthrough and encounter from the Lord!  As we spoke over her silk and asked the Lord to show us what He was speaking, we saw this beautiful flower blooming in the desert with rains of refreshing coming down it.  The Lord gave us Isaiah 35 “The desert and the parched land will be glad.  The wilderness will rejoice and blossom.  Like the crocus, it will burst into bloom.  It will rejoice greatly and shout for joy.  Praise the Lord for His goodness!!  A week later, I received this email from her:

Hello Michelle,

I just finished watching your video \”Wreckage\” for a second time.  I found the video on your website and it touched me even more deeply. Thank you for sharing your story because it is what I have experienced for the last 20 years. It has given me hope because my greatest fears have been that I will have no place to live and no job in the future as I believe my husband is positioning himself to divorce me….

Thank you for the scarf painting ministry!  I wear the one I painted in your studio last week because it helps to remind me that God has a good future for me.  Just last night the worry and fear began to creep in and I placed my scarf near my head to remind me that God was near and everything will be o.k.

It was a privilege to meet you, thank you for all you do to bring hope and healing.

Opened Doors of Creativity

Opened Doors of Creativity

“While painting in the silk painting class, it was fun and freeing to have no agenda but to hear from God and have fun. I loved how Michelle talked about how there was no wrong way to paint your silk. There is heaps of freedom due to the fact that your silk does not have to be painted a certain way to be done right. God opened so many doors and new avenues of creativity to me that day. It was a new way to taste and see that the Lord is good, and moving in new innovative and out of the box ways.”

Known and Touched By God

Known and Touched By God

“I feel so known and touched by God from receiving this silk. It is even better than I hoped and is priceless to me.  I ordered the silk to use for a specific dance I was choreographing. Not only did it perfectly fit the song and the revelation I felt like God wanted to release in the dance, but it also fit perfectly with the unique things God has put in my heart and wants to release in others. I know I will use this silk in many different ways as I continue worshipping and dancing before Him. I am overjoyed with this purchase and would recommend Michelle’s ministry of silk art to anyone wanting to know the heart of God and make His heart known to others.”

Power and Necessity of Prophetic Dance

“I’m not being dramatic when I say that the Lord used Michelle’s dancing to initiate one of the most wonderful times of corporate worship that I’ve experienced.  As we started singing and waiting on the Lord the first morning of the first day of the conference, Michelle boldly stepped out onto the floor map of the Med we had laid out and began to dance in worship.  It was as though she was slicing through any hindrances to our freedom.  Within moments the whole place was in total jubilee, dancing and singing and worshiping with supernatural zeal.  I truly believe that her dancing, ordained by the Holy Spirit, kicked off an amazing 3 days in the Lord that left an eternal mark in Gibraltar.  Watching her dance has shown me the power and necessity of prophetic dance in any environment.  I did not get it before I saw her dance.”
