Sevens and a Sabbatical

7-7-7 Prayer Call Last week for the 7-7-7 Prayer Call for the nation by Anne Graham Lotz on July 1-7, I invited people to gather each day at EMERGE Prayer & Arts Center and was so blessed and encouraged by the variety of people that God brought.  We had beautiful expressions of prayer through musicians (violin and bass guitar) as well as dancing, painting, and more! Although we were small in number, we were great in the Spirit!  Especially on Monday, 7-7-14, when we joined with many across the country for 7 hours of prayer and fasting, we sensed a great shift and breakthrough.  The Lord reminded me that it was 7 years ago on the same day (7-7-07) that “The Call Nashville” was held at Titan Stadium with 70,000+ people.  Wow!  How cool is that?  God is up to something in this urgent hour and we are excited to be a part of it! 7 Years of Full-Time Ministry It was also 7 years ago at “The Call Nashville” that God began speaking to my heart about taking a leap of faith with Him and preparing me to leave my corporate job and become a full-time missionary (Scroll down to “Watch the Video” to see the full story).  What journey it’s been!  THANK YOU to each of you who have journeyed with me throughout these 7 years!  I’m so grateful for EACH one of you, your words of encouragement, and all of your love, prayers, and support. Ministry Sabbatical Since returning from Japan 2 months ago, I felt like the Lord was saying this was going to be a season of rest, but I didn’t know what that was supposed to look like.  It wasn’t until a week ago that I felt Him impress on my heart the need for me to take a sabbatical…..some time away with Him to be refreshed, renewed, and refocused.  As I began praying about it and searching out what that might look like, the Lord quickly opened a door for me to stay with a couple in AL who open their home for ministers to take sabbatical and receive ministry.  What a gift!  It’s been a long, slow recovery since the car accident in May, and admittedly, I have been extremely weary as physical pain can be very draining.  I’m so thankful for the Lord bringing to my attention the need for time to rest and receive ministry, and for the provision to do so.  I greatly covet your prayers during this time away for replenishment, reconnecting with God, and deeper healing. If you’re like me, you may not have realized that you need a sabbatical.  This will be my first one in 7 years of full-time ministry, but I’m learning it’s something you should do at least once a year.
